Right after I pick up Katie at 5:00 from the Great Neck Train Station, we go to the 5:15 Harry Potter at Squire. The movie is way too long (two and a half hours). I did like the fourth movie, but for some reason, this one just did nothing for me. Ugh, fuckin’ thing sucks. Katie says that she didn’t enjoy it because the movie had a lot of differences from the book.
Afterwards, we walk over to Sushi Palace, which has a $18.95 unlimited kitchen food/sushi. We order it in sections, each time ordering a few vegetable tempura and “special rolls” at once. The special rolls are pretty ridiculous like eel with avocado and crunchies and all that good stuff. Katie and I have a contest. We end up eating 1 eggplant tempura, 1 broccoli tempura, 8 pieces of fried tofu, 4 shrimp tempura, 3 sweet potato tempura, and 8 rolls of sushi. At this point, Katie gives up. To prove a true win, I end up ordering two more rolls of sushi and down that in two minutes. Hopefully the video she took of it goes up.
I can’t find the menu for the place we go to, but I can compare it to Daruma’s menu. The tempura probably added up to two appetizers worth ($6.50 each, $13). Then we got a couple regular rolls ($12). However, the other eight at special rolls, which can range from $10-13. A decent estimate would be that it all added up to $100 worth of food. And I could sort of tell that they were not too happy about it. Sushi would sit there waiting because the waiters would let it sit there instead of serving it immediately. Slowing down service lets the food settle and use up a diner’s time so people don’t order as much. Also, the food is ordered by checking off paper forms of what you want. After our last order, they actually took our pen away because we were there for almost two hours. No one was there longer than us.
We go back home and she stays in because she’s tired and too full from the food. Bolanos and I end up going to Miah’s. Alon also shows up. We sit in the kitchen watching TV and drink. I have a 22 of Colt. I also have some of Miah’s Jack Daniels whiskey and Bombay Sapphire gin. We watch random late night talk shows, which isn’t too fun. However, a conversation comes up about the Jonas Brothers. Jeremiah says that one of them is 26 because he’s engaged. I bet $1 against him saying that he’s 22 or yonger. Boom. Winner.
Then, we watch Maxim’s Hot 100. They flash a few pictures of a woman from Fast and Furious. I also notice that she’s been in other stuff because that’s how good my memory is. Bolanos says that’s Danica Patrick. I disagree. Bolanos is so shocked and I bet him $5 that she’s not Danica. We wait past the commercials and I end up the victor. Winner winner, chicken dinner. The actual actress was Jordana Brewster (I recognized her from Chuck). Then again, you have to give Bolanos some credit, they’re pretty similar looking sometimes.

Bam, that’s quite a betting hot streak I have going. At 2:30ish, Bolanos and I go to Wendy’s. I only get a Diet Coke because I ate so much earlier.

We sleep in late and decide to go to Waldbaum’s for ingredients for dinner. I guess it’s too late to make it to Six Flags. We get fettuccini and Romano and parmesan for it make an alfredo (mil and butter are already home). Then a really nice roll for garlic bread. The alfredo is just cheese, butter, and milk, which is a light substitution for cream. The garlic bread is made by melting butter and cooking minced garlic a bit. Adding pepper and salt. Then this molten mixture pour on top of the halved bread. Sprinkle the grated romano and parmsan and bake until desired texture.
I go to a random barbershop on Northern to clean up my hair. I sorta have a mullet because the back of my head because cut enough from my last haircut. I ask for 2 minutes in the back and a little bit in the front. The back of my head is fine, but the guy ends up cutting a lot from my bangs. He cuts over 2 inches! Fuckin’ thing sucks. When I get back, I realize that the back of my head is cut okay, but my bangs are SOOO short. It looks ridiculous. It’s almost like a helmut or bowl cut. It’s so embarrassing and I’m so pissed.
At night, we go over to Jeremiah’s. Kenny, Alon, and Spamps are there. I have the mango vodka and beer. There’s a wet dog food snack thing on Jeremiah’s table. I end up getting bet to eat it for $2.75. It’s really harsh to eat because it tastes bad and it’s sooo dry. Because of these two elements, I actually gag from it a bit. However, it’s really hard for me to throw up. So after some water, I finish it. I then mouthwash a serious amount to get that nasty taste from my mouth. We just hang around until 2:00ish

I set an alarm for 10:00 because I want to wake up and get my hair fixed. I end up getting my brother and Katie to buzz the sides and back so it matches my short ass bangs. Then, we go to drop off a movie at the $1 for a night movie machine at Waldbaums. For the drive to Siren, we get breakfast sandwiches at Best Bagel. I get an everything bagel toasted with two eggs, sausage, and mozzarella. It’s soo good. Jonah gets a bagel with cream cheese. Weaksauce Katie likes my breakfast sandwich than hers. Holler.
Alex drives Jonah, Katie, and I to Coney Island. It takes a bit because the Belt Parkway sucks. We meet up with CNF and Atron there. Before that, Katie and I walk over to the frozen drink booth. There’s a free refill with it $12 for a huge ass pina colada. By the way, did I mention that we brought almost 15 shots of rum with us. Damn straight, we load that drink up and it’s fuckin’ way strong.
We end up having to fill that bitch up with Vio from their truck. It’s so weird that the truck seems endless because all day they just keep giving out free bottles of their drink. It’s not bad. It reminds me of the sweet Asian yogurt drinks, but it’s way too sweet.
The first show that we really stand for is Future of the Left. It’s too hard for Katie and the friend that she met up with, but I really like them. For a late lunch, I have a beef pattie and Katie has a corn dog. I get really drunk at one point that I have to slow down.
Before Monotonix, we get on Cyclone, which is pretty fun. The next show is so ridiculous. I saw them on YouTube and they’re known for being really ridiculous performers. I thought they weren’t playing, but it turns out that they’re playing off the stage in the middle of the crowd. I get really close. But then, I’m sobering up, so I decide to take a few shots of rum. I get really close to the band. The singer is a sweaty, hairy guy that’s only wearing a speedo. He stands on top of a drum being held up by the crowd and performs like that.
It gets really wild when the stand completely performs being held up by the crowd. The drummer has him and his drums held up by the crowd too. It’s by far the wildest show I could imagine. Wowsers. It’s also hard rockin’ music that I enjoy. Fuck yea.
I basically skip dinner and continue getting drunk. We make a bit of Spankrock and go back. I take a nap on the ride back and we don’t end up going out for the night.

We leave at around 3-4:00ish for Jones Beach. We get there by 5:00ish because there’s loads of traffic as expected. After a few hours, we go back. However, I get a bit lost on the Cross Island and don’t get back until past 9:00ish. We go to a Korean place that is open on Northern. I don’t really like the cold noodles there and Katie gets a kimchi soup dish that’s tomato based. Pretty yummy. She takes the 11:52 back.
