Darwin Goes to Taco Bell

After a day of work and only plain oatmeal, carrots, and soup, Daddy needs some grub. $2 meal deal at Taco Bell. Gordita, Doritos (disgusting), and a soda. Oh, and a few more items...
First off, Walbaum's had quality salsa on sale. I'm down. What better use than with Taco Bell?!

And look at those ingredients. Short, simple, no preservatives. Yum yum.

The Crunchy Potato Taco. I'm a huge fan of potato. Imagine it as a tater tot taco. I was pleasantly surprised by this, though I could be really nasty if the potato isn't cooked fresh.

Gordita. Not the most appealing meat, but definitely one of my favorite fast food items in a while. It's held up mostly by the huge slathering of sour cream and the really good pita bread. The bread was fluffy and soft and a real great change compared to the construction paper tacos that Taco Bell usually offers.

Grilled Steak Taco, Fresco. For those new to "Fresco," they remove the heavy sauce and cheese and give you a "Fresco" salsa instead. It actually brightens up the taco a lot with the fresh tomato, onion, and cilantro. Unfortunately, the steak is really bland and nasty. How fitting that it also looks like rat droppings...
